Quite a few Blast city cabinets with Japanese games (One with a girl (Ami?) that he told me Marcel would go crazy for)Ī bass fishing game with a reel on the cp.Ĭoupled racing games, at lease two sets. Two multicades, one with pac-man/ galaga type games and the other with Joust/Berzerk/defender type (Williams) Terminator 2 and 3 pinball machines ( I plan on playing these tomorrow on my way home from work when I am alone. The machines are from his collection and he tells me that everything will be maintained in perfect working order. He told me that he had opened up the arcade with a friend of his and wanted it to retain the old time feel. I spoke with one of the owner, which turns out to be Rick (ccatalyst) from the board. The machines were clean, the screens were sharp and the cpo, marque and side art looked brand new. ![]() We quickly changed our dollar bills for tokens and began our play.Īll the games were in excellent order. (Except for the blast city type cabinets and the lack of cigarette smoke). From the black lights in the ceiling, down to the glow in the dark rug and everything in between was as I remembered. I traveled back in time 30 years to an era I thought long gone. I went with my 8 year old son and from the first moment we walked in through the door both of us had smiles on our faces. Today, I was able to visit it for the first of many times, I hope. The sign above the location reads “Arcade Odyssey”. Their pinball selection is wonderful as well, and while I am no pinball expert, I was impressed by the variety of machines, all of which were functioning perfectly. The snacks are all over the place, and as you would expect there is no shortage of Japanese candy or caffeinated beverages. The prices are very very fair, and they had some MOBA games going on in the back. I see someone that looks as if they are having a complete meltdown over there! Oh no, false alarm, it's just Fighting Mania!! This place is special, especially if you want to have a really fun evening while strolling (or sprinting) down memory lane. Is that Time Crisis? X-Men? The Simpsons? Are those amazing pinball machines really here? Wait. Nostalgia hits you square between the eyes, and you stumble a second, trying to take it all in. As you walk in, you hear something, then you see it, it is a giant fist coming at your face. I had one of the best time I have had in a long time. If you come in and ask for Liz - the manager or myself Rick the owner, we will gladly give you back your tokens for the game you were playing, which looks like it was mortal kombat, we understand you were probably so involved with the game that you may have not noticed the lights turning on nor the annoucement prior to the games turning off and sorry you did not fully enjoy yourself because of our closing methods, we felt that a 10 minute lights turning on warning and verbal warning over the speakers would be enough. We are very sorry you felt cheated on your game, but on the video you just left and did not ask anyone at the counter to give you back your tokens as you were still playing when the games turned off. Then an announcement was made that we will be closing soon, so to please finish off your games, and at 12:03am the games began to turn off. ![]() At 11:50pm the lights were turned on as they are always 10 minutes before closing. We actually saw you playing on Thursday night. We take our clients critism and reviews very seriously at Arcade Odyssey, and as such we decided the review each of the last 4 days of the video cameras during closing. ![]() Hello alexandria, this is Rick Medina and im the owner of Arcade Odyssey, before anything else I would like to apologise for you not having a great experience at the arcade.
